Stacking Bangles
Jingle Jangle! Everyone will hear you coming when you’re showing off your sparkling silver bangles!
Total Price – £85 (Materials and drink inc.)
This is a complete beginners Silversmithing class, so no experience is needed. During the class I will teach you all about traditional silversmithing tools and how to use them correctly and safely. You will be working with thick silver wire, twisting, texturing and manipulating to create your own silver bangles. As well as soldering and texturing you will learn to form your bangles and finishing off with polishing techniques.
During the class you will make 2 silver bangles and one copper one to practice.
All classes are an absolute maximum of 6 students, so there is lots of one-to-one support.
Ages 16+ only for group classes.

Lost Wax Casting
Lost Wax Carving
2 Week Lost Wax Carving Course
Tuesday 29th July and Tuesday 12th August
6.30-9pm
£170 materials and casting inc.
Want to try something new? This two week course starts by learning about lost wax casting techniques. I will demonstrate a range of different ways to manipulate and carve the wax to create your chosen ring design.
Your piece will then be sent off for casting and to be on the safe side, there is a two week gap to ensure your pieces are back in time.
On week 2, your silver cast ring will need some cleaning up, which includes sawing off the ‘Spru’( the part where the metal is poured into the mould. At this stage you can sand out any marks you may not like from the wax, resize if necessary and finish with a polish.
The cost of the 2 classes is £170 which includes your wax materials, one silver ring and the casting fee. Should you wish to make more than one wax ring, this will be charged as an addition for silver.
Tea, Coffee and biscuits are provided but please bring along some lunch if attending a day class.
All classes are an absolute maximum of 6 students, so there is lots of one-to-one support.

Chain Bracelet or Necklace
How many links will you make?
Total Price – £120 (Materials inc.)
I will guide you through the traditional silversmithing processes to shape and texture links for a chain before soldering them together to create a decorative bracelet or necklace.
I will teach you different styles of link and the final design of your chain will be up to you!
This is a beginners class but I do advise you have been to at least one silversmithing class to be familiar with silversmithing tools or have worked with wire previously, as this is a fiddly class!
Tea, Coffee and biscuits are provided but please bring along some lunch if attending a day class.

5 Week Silver Jewellery Course
Total Price £320 Inclusive of Materials for one piece for each weekly project and refreshments.

In a small group of up to 6, learn traditional skills to take you from being a novice silversmith to confidently creating your own projects. You don’t need to have any experience to join this course, it is great for absolute beginners and those wanting to brush up on old skills. Each class is jam packed with information on the science behind the jewellery, where to buy tools, how to load your saw blades and much more!

Course outline
Week 1 - Introduction to Tools - Design and Sample Session
The course starts by introducing you to Silversmithing tools and basic skills; sawing, annealing, texturing and stamping – Including use of texture hammers, the rolling mill and metal forming tools. Creating a range of samples and design ideas for the coming weeks. (Copper Sheet Supplied)
Week 2 - Soldering Session - Making a band Ring or Bangle (Silver inc. for one band ring only. A bangle would be approximate)£25 more, depending on your design)
You will then go on to make yourself either a ring or bangle, learning the processes of soldering and creating strong and clean solder joins.
Week 3 - Saw Skills - Making a Pendant or Earrings
Saw skills are an integral part of making jewellery. You can make a pendant, earrings or something decorative for a ring as you begin sawing your own shapes and silhouettes. (3cm x 3cm silver sheet supplied - Enough for a pair of earrings, a pendant or charms)
Week 4 - Working with Wire
Many jewellery projects include wire - So it is important to learn how to bend and manipulate wire to create findings and pieces. During this session you will begin to use all the skills you have learnt so far to make either rings, hoops, a pendant or bangle. (30cm of 2mm silver silver wire supplied - This will make 1 x bangle and approximately 1 pair of earrings or 2 rings)
Week 5 - Recycling your scrap silver - Pebble Charms
Over the weeks you will start to gather silver scrap, being able to turn this into jewellery is great for recycling, saving yourself money and making something beautiful! Learn to melt, form, hammer and create decorative pieces for your jewellery - Including granulation and pebble charms. (10g of silver included for approximately 4 pebble charms)

Spinner Ring

This is a complete beginners Silversmithing class, so no experience is needed. During the class you will learn about traditional Silversmithing tools, how to solder, texture silver and form your own ring to fit, finishing off with polishing techniques before adding two silver spinners!
You can personalise your ring with letter, shapes and number stamps.
Price includes the silver to make one wide silver band ring and copper to practice and 2 silver spinner/stacking rings.

Silver Pebble Charms
Melt and Hammer
Total Price – £75 (Materials inc.)
This is a complete beginners Silversmithing class, so no experience is needed. During the class I will teach you all about traditional silversmithing tools and how to use them correctly and safely.
These is a super fun class, melting silver to create balls, before hammering and stamping to create personalised charms. You can then add a jump ring to attach the charms to necklaces or bracelets. Perfect as gifts!
During the class you can make up to 4 pebble charms.
All classes are an absolute maximum of 6 students, so there is lots of one-to-one support.

COURSE OUTLINE
Week 1 - Advanced Saw Work - Creating detailed designs.
Having mastered the basics of using a piercing saw, now you will learn how to make detailed stencils, attaching them to your metal before sawing finer details and refining your shapes.
Week 2 - Introduction to making Chains
Put your soldering skills and wire manipulation to the test as you design and begin to create a decorative chain. (50cm ox 1.2mm silver wire included)
Week 3 - Making a hollow shape or bead
Hollow shapes require close attention to make them safely, here you will pull together your metal forming, saw skills and soldering to make yourself a textured bead. (2 x 20mm x 20mm sheet included)
Week 4 - Rub over bezel Setting - Cabochon gemstone pendant or ring
Cabochon gemstones elevate jewellery to a new level with pops of colour. Learning to make a bezel setting with allow you to make gemstone rings, pendants but also incorporate sea glass into your pieces. (Bezel, 1 x 10mm cabochon and 18mm x 18mm sheet included)
Week 5 - Tube Setting - Setting a cubic zirconia for rings or pendants
This type of setting is perfect for adding small stones to your jewellery pieces. You will set a sparkly cubic zirconia which can be added to an existing piece or a new ring. (Silver Tube and 1 x 2mm ring included)

Keum Boo Pendant or Earrings
A Touch of Gold..
Total £95 (Materials and drink inc.)
Keum Boo is the Korean technique of adding gold accents to your pieces using 24ct gold leaf. First of all you will explore different textures using a range of materials, texture plates and rolling mill techniques to design your chosen piece of jewellery. You will then be shown the process of depleting silver before fusing gold leaf to create a permanent bond to your silver jewellery.
This will include a 2x3cm piece of silver sheet and approx 1cm x 3cm piece of 24ct gold leaf. Ideal for making a pair of earrings or pendant.
Materials are included in the price but if you’d like to purchase more, this can be arranged.

This is a complete beginners Silversmithing class, so no experience is needed. During the class I will teach you all about traditional silversmithing tools and how to use them correctly and safely.
You will work with wire, texturing and manipulating to create either your own set of stacking rings or a pair of earrings. As well as soldering and texturing you will learn to form rings which can then be cut and soldered to make earrings or kept as rings before finishing off with polishing techniques.
During the class you can make up to 4 silver ring or one pair of earrings.

Gemstone Jewellery
Set a stone..

A great opportunity to set a beautiful gemstone into a ring or pendant using a cabochon setting.
Previous experience is beneficial for this class. It is advised that you have been to at least one of Jessica’s beginners classes or similar and have experience with soldering and using a piercing saw before attending this class. Do get in contact if you’re unsure and I will be happy to have a chat!
You can set your own gemstones or use gemstones provided.

Make your own Copper Christmas Decoration and personalise with letter and shape stamps!!
This is a complete beginners Silversmithing class, so no experience is needed. During the class you will learn about tradition silversmithing tools and how to use them. Textured Personalised Bangle
Create a statement bangle..

This is a complete beginners Silversmithing class, so no experience is needed. During the class I will teach you all about traditional silversmithing tools and how to use them correctly and safely. Silver Flower Ring or Pendant
Hey there pretty!
£80 (Materials and drink inc.)
I’m excited to bring you this silver flower class! Learn how to make a flower necklace or ring using sheet silver.
I will teach you how to use a piercing saw to cut a template shape of a flower of your choice from sheet silver, you will then refine your piece with files and can use hammers to texture in your own way. Learn the very fun process of melting silver balls to decorate the centre of your flower before polishing and soldering to either a ring or creating jump rings for a necklace.

Sea Glass Setting
Would you like to set your beach treasures into a piece of jewellery?

During this class I will teach you how to use traditional Silversmithing tools correctly and safely to create a silver bezel cup to house a piece of sea glass. This can then be made into either a ring or pendant. There is opportunity to texture, stamp and add different polishing and finishing techniques to your piece, depending on how you design your unique piece of jewellery.
As there is a lot to get through in this particular class, I would advise that you have been to at least one of my beginners classes or similar before joining Sea Glass Setting. Having some experience using a piercing saw and blow torch to solder will help you make the most of the class and create a beautifully finished piece.
Materials are included to set a piece of glass up to 1.5cm in size. If you would like to set a piece bigger than that, please contact me prior to the class to arrange additional silver. 4 Week Coastal Course
If you love jewellery and the sea, this one is for you!

During this 4 week long course, you will learn the fun skills of melting and hammering scrap silver to make personalised silver pebbles, adding jump rings to make charms.
You will then go on to make a beautiful silver wave ring to size using wire. Learning ring sizing skills, how to anneal and shape wire, swell as soldering and texturing.
The final two weeks are your chance to make a pendant, ring or earrings using sea glass. You will make a bezel setting from start to finish and set your sea glass. If you finish early, you can make another piece or revisit making rings and pebbles.
Materials are included to make your pebble charms, one wave ring and to set a piece of glass up to 1.5cm in size. This is a wonderful opportunity for a child and their grown up to make matching silver bangles. A special treat, using traditional silversmithing techniques to heat, texture, stamp and shape a silver bangle which will last a life time.
The bangle will be made in an open style, so as the child grows, their bangle can be adjusted.
This is a complete beginners Silversmithing class, so no experience is needed. Due to the nature of the tools, including saws, blow torches and hammers, there must be one adult to each child to support and supervise at all times.
During the class you will make 1 5mm wide bangle each. The adult bangle will also be an open style.

Make your own Copper Christmas Decoration and personalise with letter and shape stamps!!

Keum Boo Pendant or Earrings
A Touch of Gold..

Keum Boo is the Korean technique of adding gold accents to your pieces using 24ct gold leaf. First of all you will explore different textures using a range of materials, texture plates and rolling mill techniques to design your chosen piece of jewellery. You will then be shown the process of depleting silver before fusing gold leaf to create a permanent bond to your silver jewellery.
This will include a 2x3cm piece of silver sheet and approx 1cm x 3cm piece of 24ct gold leaf. Ideal for making a pair of earrings or pendant.

You must have basic skills and knowledge to design and plan your own projects with me there to offer support in your making.
Materials are not included, so make sure to order your materials ahead of the evening. Feel free to message me within 2 weeks of the class, to help you order and plan your project.
You must book your place 7 days in advance of the monthly class, as jewellery club will only go ahead with minimum 4 students. If jewellery club in cancelled due to low numbers, your payment will roll over to the next month with places available. Unfortunately if you cancel on the day, you payment can’t be carried over as it is too late to cancel the other students attending if numbers are low.

2 Week Prong Setting

Setting stones is always very popular, as choosing a stone is a very exciting and personal process. You can bring along your own stone, or choose from my collection.
I will teach you how to make a prong setting to protect your stone and show it off by allowing both the front and back to be admired. This is a slightly more advanced class, so it is advised you have been to one of my classes or similar, so you can come prepared with the basic skills and make the most of the class.
Prong Setting for a cabochon stone, will teach you how to use various wires to design and make a back plate for your cabochon stone. Then going on to make and arrange prongs which will securely hold your stone in place, soldering each prong securely and shaping before setting your stone. You will have a choice of large cabochon stones (Or you can supply your own - Around 1.5cm-3cm size) and 1.2mm silver wire for this project.
Materials are included in the price but if you’d like to purchase more, this can be arranged.
Tea, Coffee and biscuits are provided.
All classes are an absolute maximum of 6 students, so there is lots of one-to-one support.
Ages 16+ only for group classes.
Please note payments are non-refundable but can be transferred to a different class, if given at least 5 days notice prior to your booked class. If only one student is booked in for the class, it will be re-scheduled and I will give you notice of this. By making payment you agree to the above T&Cs and your space is booked in.
